OUR STORY

Custom LDS Scriptures began in 2010 with a simple idea. The founding owners wanted to give their oldest daughter a beautiful set of pink scriptures. When they began looking, they discovered that colorful, high-quality leather scriptures were difficult to find—and they weren't the only ones looking for something different.

What started with a search for pink scriptures grew into the idea of offering members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints the opportunity to create a set of scriptures that was uniquely their own. And from that idea, Custom LDS Scriptures was born.

Today, we continue that tradition by taking scripture books purchased from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and carefully rebinding them by hand in genuine, full-grain leather. Customers can choose from a wide variety of leather colors and combinations, along with personalized details, to create a one-of-a-kind set of scriptures.

We believe the scriptures themselves are what matter most. Our purpose is simply to create a beautiful, quality binding for those sacred words—something that feels personal to the individual who will read, study, mark, and carry them.

Each set is made to order and can be personalized with the owner's name, along with a variety of additional customization options. Whether they are created for a baptism, mission, wedding, birthday, anniversary, graduation, or simply because someone wants a special set of their own, we love being a small part of something that can hold so much personal meaning.

Our family, like so many others, cherishes the scriptures and the teachings found within them. We are grateful for the opportunity to combine our love for the scriptures with the craftsmanship of creating each custom binding by hand.

More than fifteen years after that first search for a set of pink scriptures, we are still doing what Custom LDS Scriptures was created to do: helping people create scriptures that feel uniquely theirs.

THE CUSTOM LDS SCRIPTURES PROCESS

Each set of scriptures we bind is carefully made by hand using full-grain genuine leather. Because this is a handmade process, it takes time and attention to create each set. Our typical production timeframe is currently approximately 6–8 weeks, although this is an estimate rather than a guaranteed completion date. Turnaround times may vary depending on order volume, leather availability, and other factors.

If you need your scriptures by a specific date, rush service may be available for an additional fee. Please contact us before ordering to discuss your timeline and availability for rush service.

Because we work with natural full-grain leather, every set of scriptures will have its own unique character. Grain patterns, natural markings, and slight variations in color or dye lots are normal characteristics of genuine leather. The photos on our website are examples of our work, but the leather used for your scriptures may vary slightly from what is shown. These natural differences, along with subtle variations that come from binding each book by hand, are part of what makes every set unique.

We take great pride in our craftsmanship and carefully inspect each set before it leaves our hands. We stand behind the quality of our binding and want you to be happy with your custom scriptures. If you experience an issue with the binding, please contact us so we can evaluate it and work with you toward an appropriate solution.

Because each set of scriptures is made to order and personalized specifically for the customer, all sales are final. If leather color is important to you, we strongly encourage requesting leather samples before placing your order so you can see the colors and combinations in person. Natural leather variations and slight handmade differences are not considered defects and are not grounds for a return.

Orders may be canceled within 72 hours of being placed. After that time, cancellation may not be possible as materials may have been ordered or work on your custom order may have begun. If you need to make a change to an order, please contact us as soon as possible. If production has not begun, we may still be able to accommodate the change.

After your order is placed, we send a separate confirmation email, typically within 24–48 hours, giving you another opportunity to review the details of your order. Please carefully check this confirmation and let us know as soon as possible if anything needs to be corrected. If we do not hear from you, we will proceed with the order as submitted.

Custom LDS Scriptures began with a desire to create something beautiful and lasting that is worthy of the sacred words it holds.
